Canadian Para nordic skier Natalie Wilkie shows off one of her two gold medals from the Paralympics this past spring while atop the podium on March 8, 2026 in Lago, Italy.

For the first time, Canada’s winter Paralympians have been compensated equally to their Olympic counterparts for reaching the medal podium. Thirty medallists from the Milano-Cortina Games in March will receive a total of $550,000.
