‘Shocked and saddened’: World leaders react to Tumbler Ridge school shooting

World leaders are reacting in shock and sympathy to one of Canada’s deadliest school shootings. Nine people were killed and at least 25 more injured after the shooting in the community of Tumbler Ridge in eastern British Columbia on Tuesday.

Six victims were found dead inside Tumbler Ridge Secondary School, and another died on the way to the hospital. Two more were found dead in a home nearby. Police said the only suspect was found dead inside the school from “a self-inflicted injury.”
