French President Emmanuel Macron, who was blocked from crossing a street by Donald Trump’s motorcade in New York on Monday night, reportedly called the U.S. president and asked him to “clear the road.”
In a video posted online by European news outlet Visegrad24, a police officer apologizes to Macron and tells him that a motorcade is on its way.
“I don’t see it,” replies Macron. “Let me cross.”

While he was forced to wait, Macron decided to take it upon himself to call Trump, according to

“Guess what? I’m waiting (on) the street because everything is frozen for you,” Macron says in the video, and then laughs at the response. The video then cuts to Macron speaking on the phone while walking, and later, posing for pictures with some people on the street.
One man even decided to plant a kiss on Macron’s forehead as he waited for the photo to be taken.
According to The Telegraph, the French president was heading toward the French embassy.
Both Trump and Macron, along with dozens of other leaders from around the world, are in New York for the UN General Assembly.

Trump was expected to speak at the UN on Tuesday morning. He was also set to take part in meetings before going back to the White House late Tuesday night.
