Waste Management eyes selling $750 million in bonds

Waste Management of Canada is looking to sell as much as $750 million of notes as soon as this week, according to people with knowledge of the matter.

Initially discussions are for the seven year notes to yield around 0.75 percentage point more than government bonds , the people said, asking not to be identified as they aren’t authorized to speak publicly. The firm’s $500 million bond with a 2.6 per cent coupon will mature in September.

Representatives for the company were scheduled to speak with investors today, Bloomberg reported last week. A request to comment wasn’t immediately returned.
